It has been a while since I last blog. 3 years I think! I, like many bloggers, rode the wave of blogging coolness till the conviction, that perhaps it was all too narcissistic and self-aggrandizing, rescued me. That conviction I pray, matured me and I laid down the me-me-blogging along with the often foolish thoughts I spent way too much time trying to articulate.
I am older now. A man, I am confident to say. Some gray hairs to prove it. I have a beautiful bride and a son and another bambino on the way. I journal, write and collect my thoughts on paper. But I have most recently wanted a place to share the things God has been teaching me. I want to collect them for my son so he can learn not be be as stubborn as his old man was when it comes to learning life lessons from the Lord. My hope is that these posts are a useful collection of lessons learned, “ahh ha moments” and stories of constant struggles I am seeking victory over. If you have somehow stumbled across this blog and it adds a little something to your day, I am pleased. But this is for my son, hence the subtitle (Sermons to my Son). Judah, this is for you. May you learn to love the Lord your God all the days of your life as your dad desires to do.
